Network looking glass
Run ping, traceroute or MTR from a data centre to your office network or any public host. Check real latency and routing before you choose a country. North American locations are listed too, for comparison.

Which test should I run?
Ping sends a few ICMP echo packets and reports the round-trip time. It is the quickest way to compare latency between cities. Traceroute lists each router on the path, which shows where delay is added and which networks carry the traffic. MTR combines both and repeats them, so it reveals packet loss on a particular hop.
